for Aggression and Oppositional Behavior in Adolescents:

An Integrative Methodology Using ACT, DBT, and CBT

Course Description

This 10 CE credit course will prepare you to use the MDT Book effectively in the assessments, case  conceptualization and treatment in an applied setting.  MDT is a therapeutic approach developed by Dr.  Jack Apsche based on Beck's theoretical constructs of modes. This approach has been shown in a  number of research studies to be effective for adolescent males with aggressive and oppositional  behavior.  The purpose is to give further training than simply following the book alone.

 1.Read the book.

 2. After you complete the book, read carefully through the course (PDF file) to gain a clearer   picture of some of the finer points of MDT.

 3. Finally, view the video presentation of the VCR (validation, clarification, redirection)  and    you will obtain the finer skills to implement the hallmark of MD treatment, the VCR. The VCR  was recently identified as a positive mediator of positive results for MDT.

Once you have completed the three steps to this course you will be ready to take a 30 question   multiple-choice exam.

  Good Luck!
  Jack Apsche
